The group of socialist councilors in the Cabildo of Lanzarote has thanked the expressions of "support and encouragement" that it claims to have received these days from various social, sports, educational and cultural fields of the island. The PSOE will face this Saturday a motion of censure presented by CC, PIL, PNL and PP, which will dislodge it from power.
Therefore, before the new government group takes command of the first institution of Lanzarote, the representatives of the PSOE have expressed satisfaction for the citizen support that, according to what they have indicated through a statement, "is essential" to continue exercising their political work in Lanzarote.
The PSOE has assured that its councilors in the Cabildo will now move to the opposition, but they will do so with "the certainty of knowing that they have the support not only of numerous groups and associations, who have conveyed their support, but also with the confidence of many anonymous citizens who approve the work done in these two years of mandate".
The socialist group has reiterated its gratitude to all the people of Lanzarote and has guaranteed that it will carry out in the coming months "a serious, rigorous and constructive oversight work" in the Cabildo to "continue to promote the role of the highest island corporation".
