The Popular Party of Yaiza denounces that, in the midst of the Los Remedios festivities, patron saint of the municipality, there are areas where the "image of neglect and lack of cleanliness is so dramatic".
The municipal spokesperson, Juan Monzón, points out that “it is a lack of respect for the town's residents that, while the long-awaited Los Remedios festivities are being celebrated, there are completely neglected areas lacking cleanliness”.
“These images are another example of the cleaning policy that the government of Mr. Óscar Noda has accustomed us to, which is incapable of even tidying up the areas during the festivities, because the amount of accumulated garbage shows that it has been there for many months,” denounces the spokesperson.
In this regard, the spokesperson emphasizes that the Popular Party has been demanding for years the absence of priorities when cleaning the different areas of the municipality. “They take refuge in the fact that there is a precarious service and that once the next one is awarded everything will change, but anyone who lives and has lived in Yaiza knows perfectly well that this statement is nothing more than another lie from this Governing group,” adds Monzón.
Therefore, the popular party insists on the need for responsible and proactive management of municipal public services, which is essential during periods of high attendance such as the patron saint festivities.
“We urge the Governing Group to abandon excuses and to immediately implement an effective shock plan that guarantees optimal levels of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the municipality of Yaiza,” concludes the spokesperson.
