The Popular Party of Yaiza once again denounces "the lack of surveillance and lifeguard service on Flamingo Beach, a situation that originated in the pandemic era and that remains to this day without the City Council having launched corrective measures to avoid putting the safety of bathers and users of this beach at risk, a reference in the municipality."

The PP of Yaiza considers "unacceptable that, at this point, the municipal government group continues without restoring an essential service such as lifeguarding, especially when it is one of the beaches most frequented by both residents and tourists." “The absence of qualified personnel to attend to emergencies is a serious irresponsibility on the part of the City Council, which continues without taking action on the matter,” denounces the councilor and municipal spokesperson, Juan Monzón.

“The government team cannot continue to look the other way while thousands of people come every week to a bathing area that does not have the minimum safety guarantees. We are especially concerned that, despite our repeated requests, the government remains in this neglect,” emphasizes the PP mayor.

The Popular Party demands that a surveillance service be urgently enabled with a lifeguard and that its operation be guaranteed throughout the year. “This measure is not only vital to protect bathers, but also to maintain the prestige and tourist quality offered by our tourist destination to the outside world. We are very clear that safety in the main bathing areas cannot continue to be a pending issue in Playa Blanca.”
