The Popular Party of the Canary Islands has strengthened its presence in the national structure of the party with the incorporation of several of its members in the main governing bodies of the PP, within the framework of the National Congress held this weekend in Madrid. The proposals, made by the national president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, represent a recognition of the political and organizational work that the popular formation has been developing in the Archipelago.
Feijóo has included in the National Executive Committee the general secretary of the PP of the Canary Islands, Poli Suárez, and the island president of the party in Tenerife, Lope Afonso, two profiles with extensive institutional experience and a solid track record of commitment to defending the interests of the Canary Islands.
In addition, the president of the PP of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, continues to be part of the National Executive Committee as a natural member, due to his status as regional president, which guarantees a stable and permanent presence of the party in the Canary Islands in the strategic deliberations of the organization chaired by Nuñez Feijóo.
In parallel, the incorporation of Nieves Hernández López, general secretary of the PP of La Palma, and Eduardo Hernández Rosa, has also been announced to the National Board of Directors, consolidating a plural Canarian representation that encompasses different Islands and sensitivities of the party.
From the regional leadership of the PP, these appointments have been valued very positively, which reinforce the dialogue between the national structure and the political project in the Canary Islands. According to Manuel Domínguez himself, "this representation is key to transferring the singularity of the Archipelago to the national political debate and to continue defending effective solutions to the real problems of the Islands, from an integrating vision and committed to the unity of Spain."
Along with Manuel Domínguez, Poli Suárez, Lope Afonso, Nieves Hernández and Eduardo Hernández Rosa, Ainhoa Molina León, Astrid Pérez, Carlos Sánchez, Emilio Navarro, Fátima Lemes, Gabriel Mato, Guillermo Mariscal, Jaime Morales, Jessica de León, Jimena Delgado, Juan Antonio Rojas, Juan Manuel García Casañas, Laura Lima, Mariano Hernández Zapata, Rosa Viera, Yonathan de León and Miriam Vega are also part of the National Board of Directors as natural members.
