The PP accuses the PSOE of "dishonest" for creating "false expectations" with the burying of the Playa Honda highway

"Knowing exactly the Government's intention regarding these accesses reveals the little political weight that the socialists of San Bartolomé, and in general of Lanzarote, have in the management of the executive", he questions

Jeziel Martín, President of the PP of San Bartolomé

The Popular Party considers that the socialists have been "playing with the expectations" of many residents, businessmen and merchants of Playa Honda, to finally announce that they will discard the burying of the LZ-2 highway as it passes through this town.

According to the president of the PP of San Bartolomé, Jeziel Martín, the PSOE has acted in a "totally dishonest way" with the citizens. "There have been many occasions and statements in which it has been taken for granted that this was the option that was finally being worked on by the regional executive", he highlights.

These statements have been made after the Minister of Public Works of the Government of the Canary Islands, Sebastián Franquis, announced in Parliament that the burying of the road "is discarded".

"It is the project that the PSOE has been championing since the previous term and that they have maintained until this week, when Franquis has recognized that the Government of the Canary Islands does not plan to execute said project", Martín points out. "Knowing exactly the intention of the Government of Ángel Víctor Torres with respect to these accesses reveals the little political weight that the socialists of San Bartolomé, and in general of Lanzarote, have in the management of the executive", he questions.

From the Popular Party they insist that "what they should have done is work on possible alternatives that solve the problem and not let time pass and exhaust this legislature without taking any agreement".

"We greatly fear that they will end up bowing their heads so as not to upset their superiors in the PSOE", says Jeziel Martin.
