The Popular Party of Lanzarote has expelled from its ranks the former senator for the island and councilor in Arrrecife Joel Delgado and the former councilor of the Cabildo and former deputy mayor of Tías Saray Rodríguez. This was confirmed by Councilor Juan Monzón during his speech before the microphones of Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero.

"A file was opened at the time, information was collected to be aware that an affiliation is not possible due to non-compliance with the statutes and this is how it has been done," Monzón began before the morning Buenos días, Lanzarote.

"One cannot be from the Popular Party, pretend to campaign for another political formation and pretend to be mayor for another political formation," Monzón exemplified.

Joel Delgado is currently an advisor to the mayor of Yaiza, while Saray Rodríguez made the statutes of Jonás Álvarez, former member of the Popular Party and councilor for Primero Teguise. Meanwhile, Jonás Álvarez has informed La Voz that the help received by Saray Rodríguez was a labor contract.
