This Wednesday the deadline begins for parties and coalitions to present their candidacies for Congress and the Senate to the provincial electoral boards for the elections on November 29, a process that will close next Monday, October 26.
Having passed the deadline to register possible coalitions, the Federal Committee of the PSOE approved its lists last Saturday and the PP is gradually revealing its main candidates, but it is foreseeable that all will exhaust the deadline to present the complete candidacies and reveal the order of all their ballots.
The socialists continue negotiating with the Frente Amplio the composition of the lists for the Senate after the agreement reached to run in coalition under the name 'Senado de Progreso', although they have already announced that they will head all joint lists.
For their part, the PP and Vox have confirmed that they are also holding conversations to seek a formula that prevents the Upper House from ending up controlled by the left.
The candidacies presented will be published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on Wednesday, October 28, and from that moment on, a period will open to correct irregularities before the corresponding electoral boards.
The candidacies will be formally proclaimed on November 2 and will be published in the BOE the following day, after which only appeals to the courts will be possible.
