The Las Montañas del Fuego tourist center, located within the Timanfaya National Park, is one of the natural settings that the Warner production company has chosen as a natural set for the filming of the movie "Clash of the Titans." The cast of the film, which will be released on April 3 in 3 dimensions, includes Sam Worthington as Perseus, Liam Neeson as Zeus, and Ralph Fiennes as Hades, all directed by the French director Louis Leterrier, responsible for "The Incredible Hulk."
The second vice president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and councilor of the Art, Culture, and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote, Astrid Pérez, has emphasized that "this film with great and extraordinary special effects will contribute to the external promotion of Lanzarote, and particularly to the Timanfaya National Park."
Not just cinema
This initiative is part of a strategy by Warner to increase the list of titles in 3D, among which is "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Part I," an aspect that will contribute to a greater diffusion of the film. The filming of "Clash of the Titans" has been carried out in part in the national parks of Timanfaya (Lanzarote), Garajonay (La Gomera), and Teide (Tenerife), as well as in landscapes of Gran Canaria.
Las Montañas del Fuego and the Timanfaya National Park seduce, not only the film industry as a natural set, but also multinationals as settings for the launch of their products. The Italian firm Ducati will present its new motorcycle model to the world press at the end of this month in Las Montañas del Fuego.
