The mayor of Yaiza by absolute majority Óscar Noda has decreed the councilorships that the nine councilors of Unidos por Yaiza (UPY) will carry out for the recently initiated legislature (2023-2027). The mayor remains in charge of the areas of Economy and Finance, key in the management and development of the recent life of the municipality, and also continues with Local Police, Human Resources, Relations with other Public Administrations, Contracting, New Technologies and Special Accounts Commission for the examination, study and report of all budgetary and extra-budgetary accounts that must be approved by the Plenary of the Corporation.

The new faces in the government of Yaiza are two women, the lawyer Karina Centeno and the administrative technician Beatriz Vázquez. Karina Centeno assumes the councilorships of Urban Planning, Housing, Health, Social Services, Immigration and Cadastre, the latter area held by the mayor in the last legislature; while Beatriz Vázquez will lead the councilorships of Citizen Security, Civil Protection, Transportation, Statistics, Census and District 5, focused on the Montaña Roja Partial Plan.

Daniel Medina, who was already leading Culture, Youth and Equality, now adds Tourism, Beaches, Commerce and Consumer Affairs. Déniz will also be in charge of District 1, responsible for serving Yaiza town, La Degollada, Las Breñas, Maciot, La Hoya and El Golfo.

Águeda Cedrés maintains the same areas as the last legislature, that is, Social Dynamization and Attention to the Elderly, Citizen Participation, Environment and Camel Sector, and is also responsible for District 2, which covers La Geria, Playa Quemada, Puerto Calero, Uga, Femés and Las Casitas.

Ángel Lago extends his responsibilities in the area of Sports and the mayor now also delegates him in Roads and Public Works, two areas that in Yaiza have a close relationship due to the projects in execution and about to be drafted and executed.

Javier Camacho López will continue to lead the areas of Classified Activities, Public Shows, Festivities and Protocols. Rubén Arca will do the same with Cleaning, Parks and Gardens, Mobile Park, Maintenance of Public Buildings, Employment, Water and the new councilorship of Accessibility. Arca is also responsible for District 4, which includes the urban areas of Las Coloradas, San Marcial del Rubicón and Castillo del Águila, all located in Playa Blanca.

Silvia Santana Cabrera continues with the councilorships of Heritage and Education, but also assumes Primary Sector and Industry and is the councilor responsible for District 3, the area of the center of Playa Blanca and the partial plans of Costa Papagayo and Playa Blanca.

Once the areas have been distributed and the configuration of the Yaiza government has been completed, the mayor emphasizes that "the government group that I preside over is prepared to assume the new challenges demanded by the most investing municipality and which is a benchmark of management in Lanzarote."
