The Island Library has renovated part of its furniture "in order to adapt it to the needs of all its users and employees, in addition to making the facilities a more modern and comfortable space."

After an investment of over 12,000 euros made by the Cabildo of Lanzarote, several modifications have been carried out, including the replacement of the public service counters on the three floors of the Island Library, renovating the shelves in the new rooms, in addition to a "color review of both the new counters and the shelves."

"We want to continue providing the best possible service to the people who use the library and that the staff can enjoy greater comfort and furniture more suited to their needs," said the Minister of Education, Myriam Barros.

The intention of the Minister of Education is to "continue renovating the furniture of the Island Library, as well as modernizing access to the facilities with a new arch and user control."

"We already did it in the Mararía Room that we inaugurated on the occasion of International Women's Day in March, where violet shelves were placed, and now we have done it in other rooms renovating the image of the same," says Barros, who details that, for example, in the Canary Islands Fund room, white, blue and yellow shelves have been installed, the three colors of the Canary Islands flag.
