The Political Council of the Canarian Coalition of Lanzarote approved the call for the Island Congress of the nationalist formation, which will be held on Saturday, December 13, in a place yet to be determined.
Three women and five men will be in charge of carrying out the two presentations; Mónica Álvarez, Olivia Duque, Conchi Díaz, Pedro Calero, Juan Antonio de la Hoz, Nicolás Rodríguez, Oliver Duarte and Marci Acuña, will be the eight people in charge of carrying out the political and island organization presentations, in view of the congressional meeting next December, which will bring together 340 delegates.
The meeting of the Political Council of the Canarian Coalition of Lanzarote also unanimously approved supporting the candidacy of José Torres Stinga, to continue as national president of the party, in view of the next National Congress to be held next October, on the 25th and 26th, at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
In the words of the island president of the Canarian Coalition, Mario Pérez, "José Torres Stinga has more than demonstrated his worth at the head of the party. We have made important progress and that is a task that our national president must continue to do. His coordination work within the Canarian Coalition has been commendable, despite the fact that he took over the reins of the party at the beginning of the Legislature, but he has lived up to the circumstances. Lanzarote will support Pepe Torres, but we know that we will not be the only ones."
The president of the nationalist conejeros, after the conclusion of the meeting of the Political Council, said that "our formation in Lanzarote has ceased to be a minor, and it is time to start working hard because we have a lot to say."
"The Canarian Coalition of Lanzarote must work towards the near future, and for this a regeneration of Canarian nationalism is necessary, in all its aspects and meanings, but above all, and mainly, linked to reality, much closer, with cohesion, inclusive and supportive," Pérez said.
The meeting of the Political Council of the conejera nationalist formation also approved the criteria and work schedule to be followed until December 13, the date on which the Island Congress will be held. On this aspect, the island president encouraged the participation of all members and supporters of the Canarian Coalition.
