The Haría Municipality Platform (PMH) celebrated this Saturday, in an event open to citizens and militants, its 25 years of existence in the municipality, "a quarter of a century defending and working for all the residents of Haría," they point out.

The event took place at the new headquarters that the formation has inaugurated in Punta Mujeres, specifically on Cueva de Los Verdes street, number 8.

In this regard, the president of the Haría Municipality Platform (PMH), José Torres Stinga, recalled that "since 1998 there have been numerous projects that the formation has carried out in the municipality, acting jointly with the Canarian Coalition (CC) in the period from 2003 to 2012." "Among the most important projects, it is worth mentioning the construction of the Órzola Pier, the creation of the Haría Secondary Education Institute (IES), the implementation of sanitation plans in Arrieta, Punta Mujeres, and the waters of Charco del Palo," he highlighted.

For her part, the candidate for mayor by the PMH, Evelia García, who thanked those present for their attendance at such a historic and emotional event as that of "recognizing those who have contributed from its beginnings until now to make the Haría Municipality Platform a benchmark in Haría, and the only alternative and guarantee of a stable government, which cares about and takes care of its residents."

In this sense, she recalled that "the people of Haría only want stability to be able to move forward, and that is what we from the Platform can guarantee."

"We will defend the interests of our residents, as we have already done with the Cueva de Los Verdes, which has led the Justice to rule in our favor in up to two sentences in which it is recognized that this tourist emblem is municipal property," and therefore, "the island institution must pay a fee for its exploitation."

"Providing green and sports spaces for the use and enjoyment of the residents of Haría has been another of the PMH's lines of work during the periods in which it has been in the municipal government," said Evelia García. In this case, she recalled that when Torres Stinga was mayor, he managed to provide all the towns with an artificial turf field, the municipal pavilion was renovated, and pioneering infrastructures were created such as the construction of several paddle tennis courts.

"In these 25 years, there has been no shortage of policies aimed at the elderly and young people in the municipality, with a wide program of activities and actions aimed at their physical and mental development, as well as with the creation of the Sinedad center or the month of the elderly," said the candidate for mayor of Haría by the PMH.

In this sense, and to commemorate these 25 years of life of the Haría Municipality Platform, the formation has held a meeting in which it has honored the founders and members of the party in its beginnings and the rest of the affiliates who have been part of PMH during all these years.

In this regard, the president of the party, José Torres Stinga, has valued the contribution and work that "all the men and women who have been part of the Haría Municipality Platform" have carried out.

And he added that "from our beginnings until today we have always worked with a single objective, which is to defend and work for all the residents of Haría."

"We have demonstrated that we are the only party that can offer the municipality the stability it needs to carry out great projects like the ones we have carried out in these 25 years of life of the Platform."

Finally, he assured that "the doors of this new headquarters that the Haría Municipality Platform is inaugurating are wide open for all the residents of Haría," so "we will be delighted to receive them and listen to them as we have been doing for 25 years."
