The electoral census in Lanzarote as of September stands at 105,466 people, 1,727 more than in the same period of 2024, according to data from the Lanzarote Data Center. Likewise, last year closed with 104,260 people with the right to vote on the island.
By municipality, Arrecife is the municipality where the electoral census has grown the most, with 45,127 people entitled to vote compared to September 2024, when the figure reached 44,637, that is, 490 more.
The next municipality with the highest increase in the number of voters is Yaiza with 351 more, bringing the total to 9,601 compared to 9,250 in September 2024.
For its part, Tías ranks third in terms of the increase in the electoral census with 11,169 people, 293 more than a year ago, when there were 10,876.
Regarding San Bartolomé, the number of people who can vote has risen to 14,338, 234 more than in September of last year, when the figure was 14,104. Teguise, meanwhile, has added 200 more voters, standing at 16,056 compared to 15,856 in 2024.
Lastly, the municipalities of Tinajo and Haría have experienced the least increase, with 82 and 77 people, respectively. As of September, Tinajo has 4,975 people with the right to vote, while Haría has a total of 4,200.
