The objective is to revitalize the local sports tradition. The investment amounts to 53,500 euros, which will be used for the renovation of the boat.

The Minister of Sports of the Island Council, Juan Monzón, highlights the importance of this initiative for the preservation of the island's maritime traditions and emphasizes that "with the restoration of the Isla de Lanzarote boat, we not only ensure the continuity of a key sports tradition in our identity, but we also promote the participation of our athletes in local and regional sailing competitions.”

The reform project also responds to the need to have boats in optimal conditions for the sports activities organized by the Island Sports Service, which manages the use of the boat.

The reform will include the complete structural repair, improvements to the navigation components, and the implementation of measures to ensure that the boat is ready to participate in the most relevant events of the season.

Likewise, it will be valued that interested companies can offer additional guarantees for the maintenance of the boat, as well as the availability of technical service on the island, in order to minimize downtime.

Entities that are interested in participating in said tender have until Thursday, October 31. Offers can be submitted through the following link.
