Given the possibility of a repeat of the adverse weather phenomena of last weekend in several areas of the island, the Cabildo of Lanzarote recommends the suspension of extracurricular activities and those that are scheduled to take place outdoors during the afternoon of this Monday.

The president of the island corporation, María Dolores Corujo, recalls that the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow warning for rain and hailstorms in Lanzarote, which will remain active until 7:00 p.m. this Monday.

In view of this, and while the alert lasts, the Cabildo of Lanzarote asks the population to take extreme precautions and avoid travel and outdoor activities.
