The Cabildo puts into operation the third fast charging point for electric vehicles

The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Department of Industry, Commerce and Energy, managed by Ariagona González, reports that the fast charging point for electric vehicles located in the Farmer's Monument, municipality of San Bartolomé, is now operational. A few months ago, the Corporation opened two self-services in Playa Blanca (Avenida de Canarias, Yaiza) and in Arrieta (C/Arcoiris esq. C/ El Bardo, Haría). All of them are located on public roads and users can recharge any day of the week, without time restrictions. Charging will be done in 15 minutes with 100% renewable energy.

Ariagona González, is confident that the launch of these dispensers will encourage the purchase of non-polluting vehicles. "We must enable more spaces where users can quickly and safely charge their cars. If we are committed to clean energy and a change of model, we must provide the tools to make it happen," he said. The first recharges will be free, financed by the Energy Area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.

To use these points again, those interested can request the contracting of user cards on the web www.ibil.es, or by calling 902 540 810. Information can also be requested at the Citizen Service Office of the first Institution.
