The Cabildo pays scholarships and aid to more than 260 students from Lanzarote

More than 360,000 euros for university students, postgraduate students, Higher Vocational Training, Mobility programs, accommodation, in addition to a specific modality for non-face-to-face or face-to-face studies on the Island

The Cabildo of Lanzarote, chaired by Oswaldo Betancort, has made public the final resolution of scholarships and aid for official face-to-face studies outside the Island, official non-face-to-face studies and official studies on the Island. A total of 261 students from Lanzarote will finally benefit from these benefits corresponding to the 2021/2022 academic year. 

The Minister of Education, Ascensión Toledo, stated that these scholarships and aid will contribute to students being able to continue their studies and pay their rent outside the Island, providing great relief for both them and their families, who have been waiting too long for scholarships from two academic years ago.

“It is essential to support education and training from public institutions and that financial aid arrives in a timely manner, one of the most necessary actions we can take from the current academic year so that these delays do not happen again”, added the Minister.

In this case, it will be 360,700 euros in the form of aid and scholarships, distributed among university students, postgraduate students, Higher Vocational Training, for Mobility programs, for accommodation, in addition to a specific modality for non-face-to-face or face-to-face studies on the Island.
