The Cabildo of Lanzarote signs a new collective agreement for Health and Social Rights

The island institution thus initiates the procedure for the payment of the additional payment to the staff

The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through its Department of Human Resources and with the support of the workers' representatives, has signed a new collective agreement for Health and Social Rights.

This new agreement establishes that the remuneration of the personnel affected by the agreement will experience the variations corresponding to the increase established annually for the personnel of the Canarian Health Service. In addition, after its signature, the Island Council of Lanzarote initiates the procedure for the payment of the additional payment to the staff.

Another of the points included focuses on the initiation of the procedures for the inclusion of the personnel of the collective agreement of Health and Social Rights of the Island Council of Lanzarote as beneficiaries of social action aid and its enjoyment from 2023.

In the words of the Minister of Human Resources, Isabel Martín, "this document is a clear example of our commitment to a sector as vital as the one dedicated to health and social welfare." She also points out that "improving the conditions of workers is a sign of our support for them and a guarantee of the well-being of our society in general."

She insists that "our commitment is based on taking care of those who take care of us." "We are very pleased to be able to sign this agreement with the support of the workers' representatives. An agreement that is undoubtedly a step forward for everyone," she concludes.
