The Cabildo of Lanzarote was present at the gala celebrating the 20th anniversary of Jet2 in Spain. This event took place at the Palacio de los Duques Gran Meliá in Madrid, where the company's CEO, Steve Heapy, Spanish tourism institutions and important personalities from the sector were present.
The Lanzarote Tourism team, which is already in Madrid to attend the Tourism Fair (Fitur) 2023, was able to attend this event where they thanked the representatives of the company Jet2 for the continuous work they carry out on the island through a sustainability strategy that goes hand in hand with the island's Cabildo's commitment to caring for the environment.
During the event, the company's representatives highlighted that "a promising summer 2023 is expected where Lanzarote is positioned within the destinations that will be offered on the 114 routes from the British bases. The company will increase the number of seats between the United Kingdom and Spain by 4% compared to 2022, which will mean around 660 weekly flights", they highlight from the entity.
