El Cabildo de Lanzarote has increased the allocation destined for study scholarships, complementary and student travel aid for the current school year, which amounts to 1,425,000 euros, compared to the 1,200,000 euros of the previous call.
Among the main novelties, the increase in individual amounts in different lines of aid stands out, as well as the expansion of subsidizable cases, by including for the first time official studies in centers abroad within displacement aid.
Following the publication of the announcement this Monday in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia (BOP), tomorrow opens the period for submitting applications, which will last for fifteen working days, from April 21 to May 12, both included.
The study scholarship program contemplates different modalities aimed at supporting students based on the type of training and its place of realization. In the section for financing official in-person studies outside the island, **151 scholarships are offered for university degree training and higher artistic education**, each with an amount of 2,200 euros, from a budget of 332,000 euros. Likewise, 15 scholarships are granted for official master's degrees, with an individual endowment of 1,150 euros and 17,250 euros of total amount. In addition, 25 scholarships have been foreseen for higher Vocational Training, also with an amount of 1,150 euros each, from a total budget of 28,750 euros.
Likewise, 20 complementary scholarships for mobility programs are included, with aid of 700 euros per beneficiary person (14,000 euros in total), and 281 complementary scholarships intended for accommodation, whose amount increases up to 1,200 euros compared to the 1,000 euros of the last fiscal year, reaching a total of 337,200 euros.
On the other hand, scholarships are contemplated for official studies carried out on the island, both non-face-to-face and face-to-face. In this case, 15 scholarships are offered for university undergraduate studies, with an individual amount of 720 euros (10,800 euros in total), ten scholarships for official master's degrees, with an endowment of 900 euros each (9,000 euros in total) and ten complementary scholarships for mobility programs, with an amount of 700 euros per applicant (7,000 euros of global starting amount).
