The Vice President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Jesús Tovar, and the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Monzón, accompanied by the director of the Lanzarote International Cup, Pedro Cabrera, presented the proceeds from the tournament final to three associations on the island this Tuesday.
Specifically, the associations benefited in this case were the Association of Deaf People of Arrecife and Lanzarote (APSAL); the Association of people with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurodegenerative diseases (ALanEM); and CD Creciendo, with the three associations having sports projects that promote inclusion in sport.
The vice president, María Jesús Tovar, congratulated the Island Sports Service "for the great initiative of allocating these 6,000 euros to these three associations." "It is a pride for the Island Corporation to be able to have an impact on these three associations that do such exemplary work on a daily basis in Lanzarote and La Graciosa," said the vice president.
In this same vein, the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Monzón, assured that this tournament "is much more than a football tournament, but a place of respect and coexistence." "We couldn't be happier to be able to contribute with this grain of sand to the society of the islands," he added.
It should be remembered that the finals of the second edition of the Lanzarote International Cup were held in the recently renovated Lanzarote Sports City, and it is precisely from the proceeds of the tickets for said final that this check has been obtained, which amounts to 6,000 euros.
