The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Insular Agrarian Service, launches this year's fruit tree sales campaign, an initiative that offers 1,368 trees of 21 different species aimed at promoting island agriculture and facilitating access for farmers and individuals.

The 2026 campaign offers fruit tree species in high demand on the island, such as avocados (hass, fuerte, and bacon), guavas (white supreme and stone ruby), olive trees (arbequina, hojiblanca, and picual), apricots, almond trees, yellow and red plum trees, pomegranate trees, peach trees, lemon trees, mandarin trees, mango trees, mulberry trees, orange trees, banana plants, or pear trees, among others.

The president of the Cabildo and head of the Agriculture Area, Oswaldo Betancort, highlights that "the success of the campaign in previous years shows the interest that exists not only among farmers, but also among residents who want to cultivate in their gardens and properties."

Betancort adds that the sale of trees is "another way to bring agricultural resources closer to the population of Lanzarote and La Graciosa" and to promote "rural diversification, promote fruit tree cultivation on the island, and contribute to the improvement of local production."

To participate in the campaign, it is mandatory to request an appointment through the Cabildo's electronic headquarters at the following link, by accessing the Insular Agrarian Service. This appointment system will be enabled this Friday, June 5, starting at 2:00 PM, while the collection of specimens will be from June 8 to 30 between 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

Appointments will be individual, and it will be necessary to present the DNI. Each person may purchase a maximum of four trees to ensure equitable distribution among citizens. Payment for the specimens will be made exclusively by TPV, and the trees will be collected at the same time the purchase is formalized.

Likewise, the Insular Agrarian Service will inform about the availability of species that remain for sale and which ones are sold out through the WhatsApp channel of La Granja as the campaign progresses.
