Meeting between SentirTEA and the Cabildo of Lanzarote

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, held this Monday a first meeting with the new association of family members of people with ASD of the Island 'SentirTEA'. The objective of the meeting was to convey to this group the commitment of the Cabildo with the help, economic support and attention to people with ASD and their families.

Through this first contact, the president received several representatives of the association to convey the support of the Island Council and give visibility to this project that defends the rights and needs of the group.

"We know that this wonderful initiative was born with the purpose of working on the protection, visibility and defense of the community, gaining spaces in favor of their quality of life, and we want to walk hand in hand with them, show our support and help them in whatever is possible," said Dolores Corujo.

"We must reinforce inter-administrative collaboration to promote social inclusion, generate coordination to improve care and advice to families from the first Island Institution, study the implementation of support lines to cover the high economic cost of therapies faced by families, and implement educational services that allow family reconciliation and guarantee real inclusion," said the president.
