The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Department of Physical Activity and Sports, announces the provisional award of all competitive grant subsidies in the island's sports sector.
The councilor for the area, Juan Monzón, assures that these amounts "represent a key and necessary help for athletes and clubs that compete both within our territory and outside of it." Furthermore, he thanked the human team of the Insular Sports Service "for the work done to meet the established deadlines and finish the year with the awarding of all lines."
Added to the provisional awards previously announced by this island Corporation, the Governing Council has approved those relating to the line for high-performance athletes, for an amount of 49,500 euros; and for the promotion and encouragement of traditional sports for a sum of 26,946 euros.
On the other hand, those intended for **sports schools** amount to a total of **433,999 euros**; for **sports events** held in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, **447,658 euros**; for **travel to competitions** outside the island for teams, a total of **264,661 euros on line 1, and 590,000 euros on line 2**.
The Cabildo of Lanzarote, once the deadline has passed, will announce the definitive list of awards and will initiate the corresponding payments to each athlete or sports club benefiting.
