The Benito Méndez Tarajano school in Arrecife triumphs in the state competition 'Teach us your Orchard'

The Councilor for Education of the Arrecife City Council, Abigail González, congratulates the Benito Méndez Tarajano School of Infant and Primary Education (CEIP) of Arrecife for winning first place in the state competition Teach us your Orchard, promoted by the magazine ‘Mi Jardín’ and the environmental entity Cultivarte Agroambientales.

Abigail González expresses “the pride it represents for our municipality to have students and teachers fully involved in promoting healthy eating and responsible consumption, and committed to the use of natural resources and the conservation of the environment.”

In this sense, the aforementioned contest “highlights the fundamental role of educational gardens as a tool to teach new generations about sustainability and respect for the Environment, in addition to promoting cooperation and healthy habits”, according to its promoters.

As the winning teaching center of the fifth edition of ‘Teach us your Orchard’, the Benito Méndez Tarajano school, located in the Arrecife district of Titerroy, will receive a gift voucher worth 1,000 euros from the entity Solabiol (SBM Life Sciences).
