The Arrecife City Council plenary session ratified this Friday in an extraordinary session the appointment of the singer and composer Rosana as Favorite Daughter of the municipality. The opposition, which had abstained when the file was initiated, and which questions "the forms" with which it has been processed, has finally voted in favor now, so it has gone ahead unanimously.
The act to present this distinction to the singer will take place next Friday, September 9, starting at 8:15 p.m., on the Islote de Fermina.
The mayor, Astrid Pérez, has reiterated "the pride that it means for the municipality of Arrecife that Rosana has accepted this appointment, because in addition to being an artist of international fame according to her impressive career, she treasures very high human values, as she has demonstrated with various initiatives that she has undertaken for charitable purposes."
