The Teguise City Council has announced the suspension of the traditional Villa market for this Sunday, March 24, due to the weather alert for rain decreed by the Government of the Canary Islands.

In addition to the market, all municipal outdoor sports, cultural, and leisure facilities will also remain closed, with the suspension of all activities to be carried out in them.

It should be noted that the General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands maintains the alert situation for rain on the island of Lanzarote from this Saturday until further notice. Regarding the AEMET forecast for tomorrow Sunday, cloudy intervals are expected, with cloudy skies prevailing during the morning, as well as weak to moderate rainfall that may be in the form of locally heavy showers and accompanied by storms. Regarding the wind, it will be from the northwest, light to moderate.
