Teguise City Council will open the municipality's sports facilities once the Covid-19 Contingency Plan has been implemented, which will allow public attendance in accordance with health regulations according to the competition training schedule, that is, after the adaptation of a series of antiCovid measures that will ensure the safety of users and the public in the soccer fields and sports halls of Teguise.
“In all the facilities, measures must be taken to ensure that their use is carried out in minimum conditions of safety and prevention, following the protocol for the protection and prevention of health against Covid19 in routine training and competitions”, declared the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort.
The current data on the accumulated incidence of positive Covid cases on the island of Lanzarote have led the Teguise City Council to decide to reopen the sports facilities from this Monday, April 5.
The use of masks will be mandatory in areas or spaces with a large influx of people, despite being able to maintain the safety distance recommended by health authorities with other athletes or the public.
Likewise, the Security and Emergency and Sports areas, coordinated by Eugenio Robayna and Gerardo Rodríguez, respectively, report that the progressive opening of the remaining public facilities, such as the gyms of La Villa and Tahiche, is being studied, once the management of both facilities is determined with all the security measures required by Public Health.
