This is a free service called 'Green Line' that allows anonymous reporting to the City Council of problems such as damage to street furniture, lighting, sidewalks, parks or municipal facilities

The Teguise City Council has reactivated the Green Line service, a free mobile application that allows the municipality's residents to directly and anonymously report any type of incident detected on public roads, such as damage to street furniture, lighting, sidewalks, parks or municipal facilities.

After a period of inactivity of the system, the new government team has opted for the recovery of this channel, considering it "a fundamental tool to improve attention to citizens and efficiency in the municipal response to day-to-day problems." During the inactivity of this application, the City Council maintained contact with citizens through the Citizen's Mailbox on its website, attending to their demands and suggestions in a "continuous" manner.

"Recovering the Green Line was a priority for this team, because we want residents to feel heard and be able to communicate with the City Council quickly and effectively, through a tool that facilitates this direct connection and allows us to act more quickly," said the mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque.

The Green Line Smart City application is now available for free download on Google Play and App Store. Once installed, the user must select the municipality of Teguise, click "New Incident", choose the corresponding category (lighting, cleaning, sidewalks, etc.), attach a photograph of the problem, add a brief description and send. The application itself automatically detects the coordinates of the place through geolocation, which allows the technical staff of the City Council to quickly locate and manage each notice. In addition, citizens will be able to track the status of their incident and receive notifications as its resolution progresses.

"Technology is a key tool to continue moving towards a cleaner, more orderly and efficient Teguise, and this type of initiative allows us to strengthen the connection with our neighbors," said the mayor.

In addition to reporting incidents, Green Line offers a free environmental advice service, where anyone can ask questions about recycling, waste management or other environmental issues. These queries are answered within a maximum period of 24 hours by a team of experts.

Also, users have access to educational and practical content related to the environment, good citizen practices, and useful guides, through the following portal. The service is also available by telephone on 902 193 768, from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 hours.

Direct communication from the City Council

One of the added functionalities that is reinforced with the reactivation of the service is the possibility that the Teguise City Council sends notices and relevant information in real time to the residents who have the app installed: traffic cuts, weather incidents, awareness campaigns, events, etc.

The Teguise City Council invites citizens to download and use the application as a direct communication channel to move towards a more efficient, modern and close public management.
