The Teguise City Council has been working for weeks on preparing the network of municipal cemeteries so that they "show their best image for the upcoming celebration of All Saints' Day", in which visiting hours will be extended and the hygienic-sanitary protocol will be maintained for the safety of everyone who comes to the cemeteries of Teguise during those special days in which the deceased are honored.
“During these days we have been preparing the cemeteries of Teguise, both the municipal and the old one, as well as those of Tao, Guatiza and La Graciosa, as we do every year around this time,” commented the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, during his visit.
“In addition to the usual maintenance and conservation tasks, we are cleaning up gardens, painting and repairing the damage to each of the facilities, which will have at the disposal of the people who visit them, the utensils and tools they need to access the niches and place flowers,” said Eugenio Robayna as head of the area.
“The schedules of the masses that will be celebrated this November 1 in the cemeteries will be announced soon, whose opening hours will be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in all cases,” he concludes.
