The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, has announced that the outdoor facilities of the Las Caletas Civic Center are now available for use. "The playground, the bowling alley and the sports courts are already open to the public, while the City Council is counting the days to be able to receive the work of the Civic Center and be able to open its doors to the residents of Las Caletas."
“We are very eager to give that good news to the residents of the coastal town of Las Caletas who are looking forward to opening their new socio-cultural center and meeting point,” Betancort declared during his last visit to a renovated and modern leisure area for children, young people and adults.
“This center, as well as the one in Costa Teguise, has been a commitment and a priority of the Government group to be able to respond to the demands of the Las Caletas community and now we can say that, despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, both projects are about to materialize,” says Betancort.
“Once the new infrastructures are completed and once we get them ready for their opening, we can talk about cultural, social and sports revitalization,” added the mayor, “with the illusion placed in the future Sports City and the possibilities that it will bring to a town in constant growth.”
