The Teguise City Council has initiated the bidding process for the works related to the installation project at the Tahíche sports center for a value of 1,170,376 euros and an execution period of six months. This investment is financed by the Cabildo of Lanzarote through the 2021 Municipal Cooperation Plan-Teguise.
"The initiative is due to the need to adapt and legalize the electrical installation, fire protection, plumbing, and sanitation of this sports facility, which is used daily by hundreds of users,” explains the mayor of the Teguise City Council, Olivia Duque.
In the words of the Councilor for Works, Eugenio Robayna, "among other actions, low-consumption lighting will be implemented and the turrets of the soccer field will be changed, which is an old demand of the Tahíche Soccer Club, and the accessibility of the entire sports space will be improved."
The deadline for the submission of offers by interested companies will be August 2, as stated in the Public Sector Procurement Platform. The bidding entities must accredit their technical solvency and reliability with a list of works (related to the object of the contract) executed in the course of the last five years.
"The clubs that use these facilities have been informed of the characteristics of the project and we believe that, despite the inconvenience it may cause in the training routine or in the organization of the matches, we will all win with this intervention," says Duque.
