The Teguise City Council completes the resurfacing works in the coastal town of Los Cocoteros, an action included in the asphalt plan project for the northern and eastern areas that will continue in the coming weeks in streets of Teseguite and Soo, which has made it possible to improve the condition of the roads, reinforce safety, and promote more comfortable and secure mobility for the residents.

In addition to the renovation of the pavement, the City Council has also carried out improvement works in different common areas of the town, including painting and refurbishment of squares, as well as actions in the sports court and the children's playground, contributing to the improvement of the image and usability of these public spaces.

In recent weeks, the resurfacing of El Clavo, Canela, Laurel, Orégano, Pimienta, and Tomillo streets has been carried out, followed by the repainting of horizontal markings and the replacement of any vertical signage that showed deterioration, thus completing the planned action.

The Teguise City Council emphasizes that this intervention is part of a broader plan to improve roads and streets throughout the municipality, as after the intervention in Los Cocoteros, the resurfacing plan continues in the coming weeks in Teseguite and Soo.

The mayor, Olivia Duque, highlights that the completion of the works "means fulfilling a commitment made to the residents of Los Cocoteros and continuing to advance in the improvement of public infrastructure."

"We want municipal investments to translate into visible and useful progress for the citizens, both in the streets and roads and in those spaces that are part of their daily lives," she adds.

For his part, the councilor for Roads and Works, Eugenio Robayna, points out that "the works have made it possible to intervene on streets that showed significant wear, renewing the pavement and improving circulation conditions, but also to refurbish different common areas of the town."

The works, financed entirely with the Teguise City Council's own funds, have an investment of 1,255,409.38 euros and are part of the progressive renovation of the road network in the different towns and nuclei of the municipality promoted by the governing group.

The Council thanks the residents for their collaboration during the development of the works and highlights the importance of continuing to allocate municipal resources to the conservation and improvement of Teguise's public infrastructure.
