The Teguise City Council continues with the development of the Plan for various asphaltings in the north and east zone of the municipality in Teseguite, advancing in the progressive renovation of the road network and in the improvement of safety and circulation conditions in the different towns, as has already been done in the streets of Tao, Mozaga or Tahiche.
The action in Teseguite continues the work carried out in Los Cocoteros and is part of a project financed entirely with the Teguise City Council's own funds, with a global investment of 1,255,409.38 euros intended to intervene in different nuclei of the municipality.
The mayoress, Olivia Duque, highlights that "we continue to advance in a planning that allows us to act progressively in our towns, attending to roads that needed renovation and allocating municipal resources to improve the infrastructures that are part of the daily lives of our neighbors".
For his part, the councilor for Roads and Works, Eugenio Robayna, points out that "after the work carried out in Los Cocoteros, we are now continuing in Teseguite, complying with the established planning and improving the condition of the surface to offer safer roads in better conditions".
The works include the milling of the deteriorated pavement, the conditioning of the base and the subsequent laying of a new asphalt layer. Once the intervention on the surface is completed, the horizontal signage will be repainted and those elements of the vertical signs that require it will be replaced.
The City Council requests the collaboration of the neighbors during the development of the works, especially by avoiding parking in the designated areas while the work is being carried out, and thanks in advance for their understanding regarding any occasional inconvenience that may occur.
Once the planned actions in Teseguite are finished, the municipal plan will continue in Los Valles, Tiagua and Costa Teguise, following the road network renovation program of the municipality.
