The socialist senator for Lanzarote and La Graciosa and Fourth Secretary of the Senate, Francisco Manuel Fajardo, attended the inaugural session of the XII Ibero-American Parliamentary Forum, which concluded with the King's speech.

The Forum, under the slogan “Ibero-America. Together we build our Community. Together we project it towards the future and towards the world, has brought together parliamentary delegations from 22 Ibero-American countries and has served as a framework for dialogue prior to the XXIX Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government to be held in Ecuador.

There have been two days of sessions in which work has been carried out on four main axes: Artificial intelligence and parliamentary modernization; strengthening institutions against polarization, disinformation, and populism; gender equality and parliamentary diplomacy in the face of current geopolitical challenges.

This Friday the Forum concluded with a plenary session at the Palace of Congress and was closed with the adoption of the conclusions from the four working sessions and the XII Ibero-American Parliamentary Forum.
