The Arrecife City Council has reported the streets that will be closed to traffic due to the celebration of the Burial of the Sardine that will take place this Wednesday, February 22.
For this, the closure of the maritime avenue (Coll Avenue, La Marina Avenue and Fred Olsen Avenue) is planned from the Rocar parking lot to the fairgrounds from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Once the parade and the burning of the sardine are over, the avenue will be opened from the Secundino roundabout in the direction of Arrecife.
In this case, in addition to the cuts already indicated, the traffic coming from the highway towards Arrecife will be diverted through Rambla Medular and Manolo Millares. Likewise, all the streets that evacuate traffic on this road will be cut off and provisional taxi stops will be available.
Finally, it is reported that, while the activity is in progress, there will be no access to the Hotel Diamar as well as the parking lots of the 21st Century building until the roads are reopened; the bus stops on Fred Olsen and La Marina avenues will be suspended while the activity is in progress; the taxi ranks of the Arrecife Gran Hotel will be moved to the Las Buganvillas Shopping Center; the taxi rank on Coll Avenue will be moved in front of the Arrecife City Council; and access to private garages in the area will also have restricted access.
