San Bartolomé unlocks UA-2 of Playa Honda and activates more than 36,000 m² for industrial use

This urban development will mobilize a private investment of around one million euros and will generate an income of 904,009.16 euros for the municipal coffers

The San Bartolomé City Council has definitively approved this Wednesday in a plenary session the execution of the Unit of Action number 2 (UA-2), located in the industrial-commercial area of Playa Honda, whose initiative, promoted by the government team, aims to complete the urbanization of this area, improve existing infrastructures and services, and generate new public use facilities. 

The agreement includes the definitive approval of the bases and statutes for the constitution of the Compensation Board, the economic compensation or redistribution project, the urbanization project, and the partial projects for medium voltage, low voltage, telecommunications, and public lighting.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has pointed out that the definitive approval of UA-2 represents a very important step to continue unblocking and developing strategic land in Playa Honda. “We are talking about an action that will mobilize a private investment close to one million euros, will allow the completion of infrastructures and services, and will also mean an income of more than 904,000 euros for the City Council”. 

Likewise, he added that “we are advancing with planning, legal certainty, and responsibility in land management. The development of UA-2, together with the actions carried out in UA-10 and the progress in UA-1, demonstrates that the current municipal government team of San Bartolomé is generating the necessary conditions to attract economic activity, improve its industrial and commercial areas, and create new opportunities for the municipality”.

UA-2 occupies an approximate area of 36,000 square meters and its development will allow the completion of the urbanization of this area of urban land not consolidated by urbanization.
