The San Bartolomé City Council has ceded premises to the Lanzarote Island Federation of Canarian Wrestling. This space, located in the municipality's Home of Sport, will be used as the island headquarters for administrative management, technical meetings, and meetings related to the management of Canarian wrestling by the sports entity.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, stated that "we have met with the president of the Island Wrestling Federation, Marcos de León, to hand over the keys to the new headquarters, thus reaffirming our commitment to promoting local sport and to those who work to keep it alive."

Pérez also highlighted the importance of continuing to actively collaborate with the island's sports entities. "Along these lines, and for some time now, we have also offered a space to the New Hunters' Society of Lanzarote, demonstrating that San Bartolomé is a municipality that puts its resources at the service of associations that promote values such as effort and tradition," he concluded.

For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Alexis Hernández, emphasized that this transfer "seeks to support grassroots and traditional sports, recognizing the cultural and social value that Canarian wrestling has for our identity. We will continue to provide spaces and tools that allow the development of these practices in dignified and adequate conditions."

With this initiative, the San Bartolomé City Council continues to commit to strengthening the island's sports fabric and protecting the traditions that are part of the history and present of the Canary Islands.
