In the 7th Astronomy Week of Barcelona 'Tast a la Rambla' that is celebrated from last Wednesday until Sunday in the Ciudad Condal, the exquisite Lanzarote Designation of Origin Wines and other select products of the island such as cheeses, jams, mojos, potatoes, gins, biscuits or smoked tuna, as noted by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, have taken center stage.
From the Cabildo they add that in their capacity as 'Guest Territory', "Saborea Lanzarote has its own stand in this prestigious gastronomic exhibition where the oenologist of Bodegas El Grifo, Jorge Rodríguez, and the managers of Bodegas Los Bermejos and Bodegas Vulcano, Ana de León and Víctor Díaz, will present the singularities of the island's viticulture through commented tastings, to be developed in the 'Aula de Tast', entitled 'The vineyard of the impossible', 'Lanzarote, the vineyard of the unthinkable' and 'Essences of Lanzarote', respectively".
According to the Cabildo, the guests to the exhibition, among whom are businessmen from the tourism and agri-food sector, chefs, suppliers, sponsors, representatives of public administrations, large operators and airlines based in the Catalan capital, as well as press professionals and important prescribers linked to media and social networks, will enjoy a unique gastronomic experience through a tasting of products from the island, among which also stand out the sweet and sparkling wines from Lanzarote.
The councilor responsible for the areas of Economic Promotion and Tourism Promotion of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Ángel Vázquez, highlights "the great opportunity that this event offers us to enhance, in a market with high purchasing power such as the Catalan market and in an important point of origin of peninsular tourism such as Barcelona, the exclusivity that our island offers as a tourist destination through its excellent wine and gastronomy".
In this sense, Ángel Vázquez highlights "the promotional work that we will be able to carry out on the island these days both among the operators of the tourism sector that will meet at the exhibition and among the thousands of visitors, not only Catalans and peninsulars, but many of them from other parts of Europe who visit the Ciudad Condal and will attend this prestigious wine and gastronomic festival".
