The legal report requested by the Historical Heritage Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote requires the definitive removal of the Francoist cross from the Plaza de Las Palmas, which also includes the pedestal, plaques, steps, and stone spheres.
After verifying that this monument violates the Historical Memory Law 20/2022, there is a legal obligation to remove the architectural ensemble called the Cross of the Fallen.
Now, it will be the Arrecife City Council that has to remove this monolith.
