The City Council has begun the works for the adaptation of the court located on La Laguna street, in Costa Teguise, after finishing the improvement in the sports facilities of Los Crotos-Panamá street, in the same town, as reported by the City Council.
The reform of the infrastructures is executed thanks to the subsidy granted by the Ministry of Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands and to the coordination and collaboration between the administrations, in addition to the diligence of the municipal services in the processing and management of the aid. It is a total investment of more than 321,000 euros, of which 168,296 euros are allocated to the remodeling of the court on La Laguna street, awarded to the Niberma SL group.
The mayor, Olivia Duque, thanks that “thanks to this institutional cooperation, several sports facilities in the municipality are being renovated”, which allows us to reinforce “our commitment so that physical activity serves as a tool for social cohesion and the promotion of healthy habits”.
The councilor for Roads and Works, Eugenio Robayna, highlights the importance “of advancing in the improvement of these sports facilities, which are a great priority so that residents and visitors of Costa Teguise can enjoy quality infrastructures in safe conditions”.
Robayna asks for "patience during the weeks in which the renovation of the court will take place" and makes "the rest of the sports facilities in the town" available to the residents.
The Councilor for Sports, Alejandro Ramírez, assures that the reform of this court "is totally necessary", since it is a space "frequently used by the youth and families of Costa Teguise". He also acknowledges that its integral remodeling "will guarantee the safety, accessibility and quality of its use during the development of sports activities".
