The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Area of Transport and Mobility, has opened until September 6th the public consultation to modify and update the Regulations of Users of Regular Road Passenger Transport on the Island, in force since 2022.

This action aims to align this regulation with the new laws related to climate change, energy transition and environmental protection.

The Councilor of the Area, Domingo Cejas, highlights the importance of renewing these regulations taking into account the opinion of the island's population, "as they will be the ones who will benefit most from this action." "Therefore, we invite the community to participate in this consultation," he reiterates.

The update will include new regulations that better define the rights and obligations of users, as well as the companies that have been granted the transport service, improving legal certainty and resolving current legal gaps.

The community can submit their proposals, providing their opinions and recommendations on the modification of the regulations, through the Electronic Headquarters of the Cabildo, in the Announcements section of the institutional website www.cabildodelanzarote.com until Friday, September 6.
