The Argana Alta sports pavilion is suffering from leaks, as the PSOE has been able to verify. The rains that fell in the city of Arrecife this weekend have exposed the shortcomings of the Argana Pavilion, which is not properly waterproofed, as the images from inside demonstrate.

The regrettable and sad photos show a pavilion with buckets to catch leaks, and enormous plastic sheets spread over the parquet floor of the court, to prevent the wood from continuing to get soaked.

“A building whose opening the mayor has delayed for more than two years now turns out to have leaks because it is not waterproofed… as always, it seems De León didn't have time to supervise the shoddy work, because he would be at some party,” comments PSOE councilwoman Cristina Duque.

From the PSOE, we demand responsibility from the governing group (a word that seems to be falling out of use) and that they explain the true situation of the pavilion. We also request a review by municipal technicians to supervise the condition of the parquet flooring. It should be remembered that the playing surface, the wooden parquet, is absolutely sensitive to large amounts of water, as it swells and breaks the joints, or deformations appear that make practicing sports unfeasible. Having to replace the floor of that court could cost hundreds of thousands of euros, and re-waterproofing the roof another few hundred thousand.

From the PSOE, we remind them that a city council is not run with millionaire sprees on parties, and with the subculture of rum and coke, and we recommend that the mayor work a little from time to time.
