The Podemos Group in the Cabildo of Lanzarote has presented allegations to the Specific Modification Number 1 of the Special Plan for the Protected Landscape of La Geria, which is in a period of public display and has already been alleged by Ciudadanos. In the case of Podemos, the party points out in its allegations that the document is "a farce set up to respond to the political commitments of the president of the Cabildo regarding the Stratvs winery".
"The inclusion of this winery in the Special Plan, the absence of a study on the load capacity in La Geria and the criteria introduced on height and buildability, make this modification a glove made for the hand of the winery of businessman Juan Francisco Rosa", adds the party. Thus, it asks to "eliminate from its content all the determinations that attempt the covert legalization of the Stratvs winery, whose destination should be subject to the outcome of the criminal procedure that affects it".
The allegations presented make an extensive chronological journey through the recent history of planning in La Geria and conclude that "Coalición Canaria's interest in that space began at the very moment that Rosa had legal problems with his winery." The background narrated in the allegations refers to the role played by certain actors, such as Francisco Fabelo, who Podemos emphasizes was "at the same time" manager of Finca Uga, owned by Rosa, and director of the Salvar La Geria Plan of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
