The San Bartolomé City Council will hold the first edition of the Playa Honda Urban Fest on June 19, an event aimed especially at young people that will turn the Playa Honda Urban Park into a meeting space for music, urban art, and leisure.

The festival will kick off at 7:00 PM and will feature a lineup of young DJs from the municipality and the island who will offer continuous musical programming until dawn. DJ Wiba, Óscar Fermín, DJ Diego Díaz, Germán Martín, and Javi Fajardo will be in charge of setting the rhythm for a day designed to enjoy music and creativity in a safe and participatory environment.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, highlighted that "the Playa Honda Urban Fest is formalized as a proposal that connects with the interests of the municipality's youth and demonstrates the City Council's commitment to offering attractive, safe leisure spaces adapted to new forms of artistic expression."

He also pointed out that "we are committed to creating opportunities for young people to enjoy, participate, and also become protagonists of the municipality's cultural life. This festival is an example of how young talent can find spaces to showcase their creativity and share it with all citizens."

For her part, the Councilor for Youth, Mónica de León, explained that "the Playa Honda Urban Fest is born with the aim of creating a meeting point for young people, incorporating disciplines and artistic expressions with which they identify, from electronic music to other manifestations of urban culture."

The councilor highlighted that "we have designed a program for all audiences, but especially focused on young people, promoting an alternative leisure and participatory activity in one of the most dynamic spaces in the municipality, such as the Playa Honda Urban Park."

Mónica de León added that "in addition to offering a quality musical experience, this festival serves to give visibility to young artists and DJs from the island and the municipality, supporting emerging talent and fostering their development within the cultural sphere."

The Playa Honda Urban Fest is presented under the slogan 'One place, all vibes,' reflecting the inclusive and diverse nature of a proposal that will combine music, art, culture, and entertainment in a day open to all citizens.

This festival arises as a proposal previously made by young people in the Youth Table and as the finishing touch to the academic year that also joins the rest of the educational and leisure activities.

With this initiative, the San Bartolomé City Council continues to expand its youth and cultural programming, promoting activities that favor the active participation of young people and enrich the municipality's leisure offerings.
