The residents of Haría and tourists who were at the Traditional Market of Haría this Saturday were surprised again by the visit of Pedro Sánchez, who was accompanied by Salvador Illa, the newly elected president of Catalonia. Both have been strolling with their respective wives and have shown interest in the products offered by the northern town.

As he did last year, Sánchez allowed himself to be photographed by citizens who wanted to take a selfie with him and chatted with them. The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, gave them sweet wine from the Malpaíso de Haría winery, cheese from Montaña de Haría, and a book by Ico Toledo.

As will be recalled, the President of the Spanish Government has once again chosen the island of Lanzarote to spend a few days of vacation with his family, an island to which he arrived last Monday. For his part, Salvador Ila landed this Friday on the island of volcanoes.

Last summer, Sánchez also landed in Lanzarote at the beginning of August and was seen touring the traditional Saturday market of Haría, accompanied by his wife Begoña Gómez, the presenter Jesús Calleja, and the filmmaker Alejandro Amenábar.
