The parliamentarian of the Canarian Nationalist Group (CCa), Cristina Calero, spoke at the Justice Commission held this morning in Parliament to inquire about the status of the improvement works on the judicial building of Lanzarote for the start-up of the Court of First Instance number 6 of Arrecife.
Calero recalled the creation this year of the Court of First Instance number 6 of Arrecife. She also requested information on the status of the works in the judicial building for the habilitation of this space.
In this regard, the deputy of Lanzarote took the opportunity to ask the regional minister of the area about the phases and expected dates of execution of the provisional space for the court of instance number 6 and its commissioning, as well as the pending works of number 1.
Cristina Calero also focused on the need to open new courts in different jurisdictional orders "given the high level of litigation in the Canary Islands".
In addition, she wanted to take the opportunity to request new instructions for the court of first instance, "with regard to the attention to victims of violence." In her opinion, "this would allow the court of instruction number 1 to specialize in the attention to victims, not only in terms of procedures and equipment but also in facilities," Calero concluded.
