The Cabildo of Lanzarote organized this past Sunday a festive day on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Papagayo Camping Area, in which the participants enjoyed activities, crafts, sports, music and a foam party.
The responsible councilor, Samuel Martín, has highlighted that during last Sunday and coinciding with the weekend of greatest affluence during the opening of this area, the first institution, in collaboration with the users of the campsite, “we have been able to enjoy a day celebrated with the idea of recovering the family character that has always been breathed in this unique area of the south of the Island, for this the collaboration and direct contact maintained during these last two months with the campers has been fundamental”, Martín expressed.
“But more important is to maintain it to project the future, and that the sons and daughters, and the grandsons and granddaughters of the campers of a lifetime, can continue to enjoy many summers in contact with nature and be able to escape from stress and the daily routine as a family”, he added.

The councilor wanted to publicly thank “the participation of all the people who shared this playful day as an anniversary, as well as the Youth Area of Lanzarote, which coordinates the colleague Aroa Revelo, and who has collaborated to make this fun day possible”. Likewise, Samuel Martín announces that it is "expected that the Camping Area will remain open until October 1".
