Oppositions to the Arrecife City Council: last weeks to aspire to a public position

The council keeps open the deadline for submissions for public employment offers for mid-level management technicians, industrial technical engineers, social workers, architects, psychologists, and jurists

The Arrecife City Council maintains several selection processes open simultaneously to access public employment vacancies in the capital of Lanzarote. In total, there are fifteen positions on the table.

Interested individuals can submit their applications to participate in said selection processes until next July 17. 

In total, there are six professional categories that maintain the possibility of receiving applications to access the procedure. Among them, the vacancies for mid-level management technician (five positions), industrial technical engineer (one position), social workers (six positions), all of them in group A2; as well as the vacancy for architect (one position), psychologist (one position) and special administration technician in the jurist category (one position), in groups A1 and in the latter case with the possibility of group A. 

The deadline for submitting general applications to access the public employment application began last June 22 and will be open until July 17. 

At the same time, this Wednesday the professional lists for the positions of general administration technician A/A1 and administrative assistant, group C and C2, have been published in the Official Gazette of the province of Las Palmas. In addition to the final lists of occupational risk prevention technician and special administration technician (human resources).

 

Calls yet to be released

The mayor Yonathan de León has stressed that thanks to this Public Employment Offer, an increase in the Local Police staff with more agents is also underway, within his objectives for Arrecife to continue being "a safe and protected city". 

The spokesperson for the PP and councilor for the Human Resources Area, Eli Merino, who is also the head of the Tourism, Commerce, and Sports Departments, has carried out work with her technical team in Human Resources to provide new technicians and staff to cover the needs of the different City Council Areas, which will allow for "better attention and assistance to the citizens of Arrecife".

The objective is to provide the Social Welfare area with more social worker positions, new positions for social educators, psychologists, and jurists, among others, as well as strengthening the Urban Planning and Technical Office Areas with more technicians.

In addition, this OPE will allow municipal workers to access positions with their professional profiles, as eighteen positions are also being announced through the internal promotion system.
