The City Council presided over by Óscar Noda encourages neighbors and various agents involved in the development of the municipality to participate in the citizen consultation within the framework of the new General Urban Development Plan, which opened this Tuesday, October 6, and is available for one month. Interested individuals can access the virtual form by clicking on the cover banner of www.yaiza.es.
The objective set by the City Council and the drafting team of Ingeniería, Estudios y Proyectos Europeos, S.L. “is to integrate the joint vision of the participants in the process of elaborating the new General Urban Development Plan”. The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, points out that “the drafting team already studied the content and experience of the 2014 plan and collected the opinions from a first public consultation held in July of last year, so there is valuable work already done that results in the draft of the General Plan and the submission of the strategic initial document to the Environmental Body of the Canary Islands”.
In the first part of the form, citizens respond from what perspective they participate and in which population center they reside and carry out their activity. The second part is designed to diagnose the current situation of the municipality based on the most valued aspects and, above all, those that the population believes have room for improvement.
The third part of the form deals with the future vision that citizens may have of their municipality, while the last step to complete the consultation refers to the specific needs of each of the southern towns. The municipal government maintains its commitment “to a transparent and participatory processing process, so all contributions and concerns are timely and valuable”.
